Caution: working on mains voltage (230 V)
230 V mains voltage can cause serious or fatal injuries. Before any work, switch off the relevant circuit breaker, secure it against being switched back on and use a suitable voltage tester to make sure there really is no voltage present.
In many countries, work on the fixed electrical installation may only be carried out by qualified electricians.
